An 8pack project is an ACID file that includes multiple Sony Sound
Series loops arranged into a song. 8pack projects illustrate how a song
is constructed in ACID software, and how easy it is to combine loops
from various Sony Sound Series™ Loops and Samples libraries. Every week
there will be a new 8pack project to download — for Free!

This week's 8pack, 'Triage', contains loops from Drums from the Big Room, available in the Premium Collection
tier as stereo mix files, as well as in a deluxe expanded edition that
features the complete multitrack breakdowns, which of course is the set
you'll want when you're ready to try mixing your own drum kits at the
track level. Performed by Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers drummer Steve
Ferrone, engineered by the late, great Greg Ladanyi, and recorded on the
big soundstage at the legendary O'Henry facility in Burbank, this one
has it all. The other (guitar and bass) loops—can't say much about these
right now as the titles they are associated with are still under wraps.
Take a few hints from the way they sound though—in particular, the way
the bass loops lock up with the drums—then look at our catalog and
deduce how that might play out as a Sound Series
title—OK, that's enough clues. Just download and enjoy, keep one eye on
the new releases, and very (very very) soon all will be revealed. OK,
so, we can't make a deal of the week on libraries that haven't been
released yet, so we're rolling out an opportunity for you to have a
taste of our sound effect line: take 1/3 off our Detroit Chop Shop Volumes 1-5 set. Try it!
